Description
30" Mutton Snapper Full Mount
This 30" Mutton Snapper full mount, which we call a two sided wall mount, is extremely realistic with the skin texture that was captured during the molding process. Mutton Snapper are commonly found in the southern portion of the Western Atlantic Ocean, and the Caribbean Islands and as far south as Brazil and even in a few portions of the Gulf of Mexico. These fish are fun to catch, are great tasting and can be cooked in many different ways. They feed off crustaceans and smaller fish and usually prefer to be around structures like reefs, wrecks, and oil rigs which anglers seek when bottom fishing for Mutton snappers.
Our Mutton Snapper fish replica full mounts are anatomically correct fish mounts that are intended to be displayed on the wall. The backside of the fish mount that is touching the wall or not viewable is actually painted black. These two sided wall mounts are not intended to be hung from the ceiling.
Mutton Snapper Mount Painting Schedule
With all o
ur two sided
Mutton Snapper full mounts
are made of fiberglass for a lifetime of enjoyment and are hand crafted to represent the fish you caught or to showcase the fishes alive and lit up look as if it was swimming in the ocean. If you are purchasing a Mutton Snapper fish replica to commemorate a catch, we encourage you to send a picture of your catch. We custom paint our Mutton Snapper full mounts and we even custom paint our eyes to give a realistic look to your new trophy. Our production team even takes the time to notch out rips and tears that your Mutton Snapper photo might have. With all our full mounts we encourage our customers to send in a picture of their catch so we can paint and replicate to match that fish. Without a picture our normal process is to paint a standard olive green with shades of gold on their backs and shoulders and then fading down into a pinkish orange coloring. Their fins are a combination of yellow and red hues and they always will have the faint black spot on their side and bright blue markings under their eyes. The final step is to clear coat the Mutton Snapper replica with a UV Protectant Urethane clear coat allowing you to hang it indoors or outside. We do offer an outdoor bracket for installation in areas that might have high wind or potential to get bumped.
Mutton Snapper Replica Shipping Process
Once your new
Mutton
snapper mount is completed, our experience packaging team will carefully package the fish mount to ensure a safe journey from us to you. All of our Mutton snapper fish mounts are packaged utilizing our proven double ply cardboard boxes and bubble wrap system. This allows your new fish mount to ship safely from us to you without having to construct a wooden crate like many other outfits do. This saves time and money, allowing us to provide you with a beautiful Mutton snapper fish mount more affordably. We are proud to boast a less than 1% damage rate but should for any reason this fish mount arrive to you less that 100% perfect, please let us know right away and we will remedy the situation accordingly.
Mutton Snapper Mount Installation Process
O
ur easy to hang bracket arrives already attached to the backside, balance point of this fish mount. After removing this fish mount from the packaging, hold up the fish mount up on the wall where you would like it to live and then mark the spot where the hanger is on the wall. Then drill in a screw or hammer in a nail and the bracket will easily hang on the nail or screw head. The easy level bracket also allows you to display your new red snapper replica on the wall at pretty much any angle. The bracket has 5 sawtooth groves that the nail or screw head in the wall can hang on, creating a different balance point which allows you to point the head up toward the ceiling or down toward the floor, depending on which groove the head is in. We also offer an outdoor bracket for installation in areas that might have high wind or potential to get bumped

More About Mutton Snappers
Mutton snapper is a species of snapper that are primarily found in the Wester Atlantic Ocean from reportedly as far north as Massachusetts all the way down to southern Brazil, and also found in the entire Caribbean and some southern portions of the Gulf of Mexico. Mutton Snapper are sought after by anglers and divers. Catching a mutton snapper can be a bit tricky when fishing in clean water. Their eye site is outstanding and they are very keen to heavy monofilament or baits that are not acting naturally. They are also hard to get to close to when diving and many experienced divers consider Mutton Snapper one of the most difficult species to spear. We create quite a few mutton snapper fish mounts for the diver who has finally stoned a good one. Like other snappers, the Mutton Snapper normally grows up on sand and grass flat areas so they can camouflage themselves from approaching prey, but as they get larger and older they make their way to reef systems where they take a stake in different relief areas of the reefs or artificial wrecks. Mutton snapper have a distinctive light black spot on their side flank and normally have bright iridescent blue markings under their eye. Their body color can change from a olive green on top to a pinkish orange and they normally have 9-11 light vertical bands running down their flanks. Their fins are normally made up of a combination of yellow and reds. If you ever get to go Mutton Snapper diving or fishing it most likely won’t be your last as it can become very addicting. Good Luck.
