39" California Yellowtail Half Mount

This California Yellowtail fish mount is part of our half sided series. A half sided mount is produced by casting the front part of our two sided wall mount molds. When displayed the circumference of the half mount is either touching the wall or very close to the wall. This process cuts labor and supplies cost and therefore results in a lower price point however the skin texture and finishing process is the same as a traditional full mount.

California Yellowtail Mount Paint Schedule

California Yellowtail are a common catch off the cost of California and are very similar in body shape and meat texture as the East coast amberjack. California Yellowtail are normally have a greenish blueish back with a distinctive yellow/gold band that runs from their eye to their tail. Like other fish, California Yellowtail can have many different variations of coloring however our standard paint job includes the above mentioned features. The final step of the finishing process is to spray a UV protecting clear coat to give it superior protection indoors or outside. We do not custom paint our half sided series replicas.
