57" Tarpon Half Mount
This 57" left facing tarpon half mount is part of our half sided series. Tarpon are commonly seen gulping air or feeding on surface crabs, flies, etc. This fish replica captures a lazy tarpon cruising the service and gulping some prey. This tarpon half mount measures 57" in overall length and covers about 23" of vertical wall space.
A half sided mount is produced by casting the front part of our two sided wall mount molds. When displayed the circumference of the half mount is either touching the wall or very close to the wall. This process cuts labor and supplies cost and therefore results in a lower price point however the skin texture and finishing process is the same as a traditional full mount. Tarpon Mount Paint Schedule
Tarpon can be caught both in the ocean and in inshore intracoastal waterways, back country estuaries and even hybrid water canals and rivers. Normally the smaller tarpon are found in these backwater areas and normally have a brownish gold back with hues of green which blend to a silvery side and white belly. Like other fish, tarpon can have many different variations of coloring however our standard paint job includes the above mentioned features. The final step of the finishing process is to spray a UV protecting clear coat to give it superior protection indoors or outside. We do not custom paint our half sided series replicas.
Half Mount Installation
Each fish mount in our half sided series arrives with a fiberglass hanger on the backside of the fish mount. This allows easy installation once you receive your new fish mount.

Completely happy with the size (57”) details and coloration of my tarpon. It fits perfectly on my wall and is the focal point of my living room. In my house in only 8 days.
I am a half mount guy. I caught the Silver King on a Tuesday, ordered it that evening and the following Wednesday it was at my WV home. Good likeness of my Tarpon and ver light weight at 10#s weight. It was easy to hang on my veranda and it looks good with the other mounts. They hold up well out there with and occasional dusting with a swifter.
