Color dark blue on top, brown-blue laterally, silvery white underbelly; upper jaw elongated in form of spear; first dorsal greatly enlarged in the form of a sail, with many black spots; its front squared off, highest at its midpoint; pelvic fins very narrow, reaching almost to the anus; body covered with imbedded scales, blunt at end; lateral line curved over pectoral; then straight to base of tail. This size replica portrays a juvenile sailfish.

Each replicas overall length is determined by measuring from the tip of the mouth (or bill) and running along the lateral line to the fork in the tail and then running the distance from the fork to the end of  the longest tail length.  All length measurements have the possibility of being off by a small percentage since we are fabricating in fiberglass using a grinding technique.
