Description   The Florida manatee lives in brackish, salt and freshwater coastal areas around Florida. The adult manatee weighs around 1,000 pounds and is about 10 feet long. At birth, calves weigh about 60-80 pounds. Our half mount replica doesn’t weigh that much, and he is only 30 inches long, but it is a great decoration for that unusual space, by the pool, in your den or just about anywhere you want a cheerful and happy thought. The finish on our Manatee is first class with a beautiful clear coat finish that looks like he just came out of the water. Each replicas overall length is determined by measuring from the tip of the mouth (or bill) and running along the lateral line to the fork in the tail and then running the distance from the fork to the end of  the longest tail length.  All length measurements have the possibility of being off by a small percentage since we are fabricating in fiberglass using a grinding technique.
